Our Junior and Senior High School Ministry is called The Summit and exists to share the Good News of the Gospel with the next generation. We aim to see the gospel applied in the lives of teenagers, trusting it is the power of God to save and transform them into young men and women who worship God.

Youth Meetings

The new church year has just begun and it’s time to kick off a new year for our youth ministry! I’m excited to get to know all of you better this year as we work to build a youth program that will invite and encourage your teens and pre-teens to grow in their faith in Jesus.

We will be joining forces with another gospel-centered church in our area - THE CHAPEL - to build some momentum and provide an opportunity for our youth to build friendships with other Christians their age, receive the benefit of multiple voices encouraging them to grow in Christ, and strengthen our ties with other like-minded churches.

Their volunteer youth minister, Brian Anderson, has been incredibly encouraging. Brian enjoyed participating in the JAM Bible Camp this summer with our church, and was excited to hear that there may be more ways for our two churches to serve the Lord together. Brian and I put together a rough draft of a plan to hold joint youth events this Fall (Sept - Nov), and the leadership team / elders from each church have now approved the plan.

One of the benefits of working together with The Chapel is that we will be able to use their facility for meetings. Scheduling is a bit of a challenge trying to fit youth meetings into two church calendars, not to mention fitting these meetings into your busy schedules! In the end, we decided to meet weekly on Wednesday nights at The Chapel. These meetings will alternate between Praise & Worship nights kinda like a mini church service geared specifically toward youth, and “discipleship” nights where youth will split into smaller groups based on age.

Summit Youth Ministry: Summer Camp!

Our family of churches is hosting a youth camp this summer July 4-7 at Emmanuel Pines in Prescott, AZ. This event will not only be a lot of fun, but there will be excellent teaching (The conference theme is the Preeminence of Christ from the book of Colossians) and worship (One of our favorite bands, West Coast Revival, will be leading worship). If that does get you ready to attend, we even have a hype video to show you:

The cost will be $250 per student, which includes all meals, activities, and lodging. Please don’t let the cost be a deterrent. If you would like your student to attend and money is an issue please let me know. I believe this would be a great investment in your teenager’s walk with God!
